⚗️ Alcohol Blending Calculator for Brewing
Combine two liquids and calculate the resulting strength.
This free tool helps you turn project measurements into a practical planning estimate. Enter values in Vaelden’s interactive calculator, review the result, and confirm important assumptions against supplier data, measurements, codes or qualified advice before committing materials or money.

How to calculate alcohol blending
Method: Blended ABV = total pure alcohol ÷ combined liquid volume
- Calculate pure alcohol in each component.
- Add pure-alcohol volumes and liquid volumes separately.
- Divide and verify the blend with suitable calibrated instruments.
Worked example
Using these planning inputs:
- Volume A: 10
- ABV A: 60 %
- Volume B: 5
- ABV B: 20 %
Blended strength: 46.67 % ABV
Reality check: Real final volume can contract after mixing; regulated records and final strength require approved measurement methods.
Method status and references
Theoretical volume estimate. This conserves calculated pure alcohol but assumes additive liquid volumes. Verify the cooled, mixed result with suitable calibrated equipment.
Before you calculate
Use consistent units and the best measured inputs available. Real materials, equipment, site conditions and tolerances can change the result. Vaelden shows planning estimates; regulated, structural, electrical, plumbing, pressure and other safety-critical work still requires appropriate local compliance and professional advice.
