◼️ Paver Quantity Calculator for Concrete & Masonry
Estimate pavers for a measured area.
This free tool helps you turn project measurements into a practical planning estimate. Enter values in Vaelden’s interactive calculator, review the result, and confirm important assumptions against supplier data, measurements, codes or qualified advice before committing materials or money.

How to calculate paver quantity
Method: Pavers = paved area ÷ paver face area × waste allowance
- Measure the finished paved footprint.
- Use actual paver face dimensions.
- Add waste for the laying pattern, edge cuts, breakage and future repairs.
Worked example
Using these planning inputs:
- Paved area: 30
- Paver length: 0.4
- Paver width: 0.2
- Waste: 10 %
Pavers required: 413
Reality check: Base depth, drainage, edge restraint, falls and compaction are more important to performance than paver count alone.
Before you calculate
Use consistent units and the best measured inputs available. Real materials, equipment, site conditions and tolerances can change the result. Vaelden shows planning estimates; regulated, structural, electrical, plumbing, pressure and other safety-critical work still requires appropriate local compliance and professional advice.
